What're you fucking retarded? How about those Phillies? The season hasn't even began you fucking dolt. They have 4 aces in the rotation and a 5th starter that would be a 3 or 4 in most staffs. Oh no brad lidge is gone until may! Whoahhhhhhh oh noooo!!!

Cliff Lee
Roy Halladay
Cole Hamels
Roy Oswalt

Oswalt is no longer an ace....That said, they have a damn good pitching rotation...but will they produce just like the Miami Heat?

And what makes you say that, and let's disregard that he was 7-1 with a 1.74 era as a Phillies starter last year, and that 1 loss came on his first outing for the Phillies (The game I traveled to Washington DC for).

I use the term "ace" loosely, because while they might not all be aces, theyre damn good pitchers that would be a 1 or a 2 on any team.

Regardless, i'm not the slightest bit worried about this season at all. The Phillies always stink it up in the beginning, then dominate after the all-star break and take over September.

You can't win championships with people injured, ask the Packers.

Also, comparing the Phillies to the Miami Heat is like comparing Apples and Oranges. Pitchers don't pitch as a team, they pitch as individuals. The heat tried to mesh 3 superstars that all play at the same time, everyone knew it would be a struggle. I feel like stardom at the pitching position is the best problem to have.

That being said, I can't wait until tomorrow and friday. My roomate who has a 50in lcd tv with MLBtv is a huge yankees fan and actually just got an ounce of "pineapple express" and I don't have classes tomorrow or friday so my ass will be on the couch stoned watching baseball all day. Go Phillies.

Philleys are old and with Chase out there is no energy, after I talked shit I went back and looked it over. The NL East is weak I guess the P's can win it but they will be crushed in the play offs. Have to respect the starting staff but what if they only go 8 innings, no real closer till the all star game and then the month of catching up. The O for the Phillies is streaky they can be hot for a week or 2 and then come up empty for a week or 2. Ryan has to grow a set and be consistant for the Phills to win, not sure if that can happen.

Is Mauer gonna hit more than 9 home runs for his $23 million this year, Carl? Talk about overpaid. The Twins actually paid over market value, instead of getting a hometown discount from 'Joltin' Joe. Laughing Morneau's damn good, but he's more concussion prone than Troy Aikman. I hear Target is a great park, though; nothing like that trash heap the Vikings play in when the roof doesn't blow off.

Joe doesn't get paid to hit HR's, he is by far the best catcher in baseball. The Twins built Target Field to pay Joe. If you take his salary off the top the Twins payroll was the same as it was when they played in the dome. I also do not really care for the oft injured mush head Canadian, he is like Koskie soft in the head.

Plus Brady lets just look at what you said about overpaid, the guy is a catcher that won a batting title and an MVP, and you think he sucks because he doesn't hit 30 home runs. I don't think you really understand baseball.

Okay well you can sit there and call Roy Halladay, reigning Cy Young winner, not an ace. I'll sit here and laugh at how retarded you are, just like when I read the first post of this thread.
